You can open your eyes now, Mensfash is still here!!! Happy 2017 y'all. We've been busy traveling and redesigning the website for the New Year. Going to really try and get the ball rolling. Hire some writers. Hammer social media. You get the gist. Was poking around Instagram and came across this awesome men's style grid. Some killer jeans, nice plaid shit, and MY favorite brown suede shoes. Great men's casual outfit here. I'd ditch the notebook however ;) Cheers and hope you're all doing well. Original Chippewa rough-out Leather Boots from J. Crew

Okay guys how amazing are these rough-cut leather boots from Chippewa and J. Crew? When I saw them I couldn't help myself I ordered a pair in minutes. J. Crew worked with Chippewa to recreate a pair of 1930s work boots found in Chippewa's archives, but they made them with the rough side of the leather facing out (its looks like suede but is much toughter) and updated to an oil resistant Vibram sole. These are some serious premium men's leather boots that are Made in America too :) Yes they are pricey at $275...but if taken care of properly they will last forever! So what do ya say guys, you ready to splurge?

I'm loving these Zerogrand men's oxford shoes from Cole Haan. Especially the suede style! They are available in tons of different styles. Wingtips, broguing, leather, suede and textile. All come with the wicked Zerogrand sole. Its a little chunky buy hey that's in. All of them are lace up closure and have debossed logo on the heel. Tonight I was perusing Gilt when I clicked across these incredible and very dapper Mezlan Check Loafers. They're a slip on men's dress loafer that would pair great with Bonobos washed chinos, dress slacks or a navy suit. They're a little pricey at $269 but if taken care of properly you can expect this loafer to last a lifetime. They feature a leather upper, leather sole and 1" stacked heel.

As I’m sure most of you know by now, wearing boots with a suit has not only become acceptable practice but a move favoured by those in the sartorial know. It’s a great way to add a little something extra to your look and break up the monotony that is often associated with wearing a suit. While this may seem like a bold move for a lot of men out there I can assure it isn’t. When your pants fall over the tops of your boot they often end up looking like a heavier dress shoe, something like a brogue to the uninitiated. There are many different styles of boots out there, and I could probably go 10 deep on different boots to wear with a suit. I think it’s a much more beneficial exercise to look at three categories of boots and break down how to wear the different styles among those categories.
